Krsna is the Personality of Grace

The Srimad Bhagavata is a spiritual text that celebrates the intense love of God for the jiva, the transcendental pure personality fallen into this material world. It is basically a text that celebrates the grace of the Lord towards His jivas, who are the recipients of such a grace. No wonder Sankaradeva, in his rendering of the Bhagavata, starts off with an invocation to Krsna, the supreme Lord who is krpamaya, full of grace:
jaya jaya krsna krpamaya mahesvara
Victories to Krsna, compassionate great Lord.
